Miguel isn’t one to shy away from speaking his mind and in an interview with The Sunday TImes, the singer did just that. Not even a month since the release of his latest studio album, Wildheart, the ‘Coffee’ singer vividly shared his sentiments in regards to who he feels makes better music between himself and fellow R&B singer, Frank Ocean.
I wouldn’t say we were friends. To be completely honest — and no disrespect to anyone — I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around
He also added:
It’s interesting, but we’ll see who’s in it for the long haul. It’s like a marathon, you know?
Whether you personally agree or not, is Miguel suppose to feel as if he doesn’t make better music than Frank Ocean or any of his other peers? For the most part, it wouldn’t be hard to believe that most artists would consider themselves the best at what they do. With both artists achieving major critical acclaim with their respective projects, there’s no debating that the two are among R&B’s most respected and talented. With Frank Ocean rumored to be dropping new music this month, perhaps a side-by-side comparison of their most current respective projects could help settle this.
