Michael Carter-Williams is a great player. The Rookie of the Year is long, tall and has sky-high passing ability. Shame that he’s injured. But never fear Sixers fans. He will be back sooner than expected. According to ESPN.com, Michael Carter-Williams is looking to return November 13th.
Carter-Williams, who won Rookie of the Year honors last season, has been out since May following surgery on his right shoulder.
A source told ESPN that Carter-Williams is optimistic about returning Nov. 13 in Dallas. However, there remains a belief that the team will hold him back, since general manager Sam Hinkie has shown little desire to win games this season and instead remains hopeful of landing another top draft pick in order to rebuild the franchise through high draft picks.
This is so disappointing to hear. Who does not want to win? You have the a young, hungry team with legitimate potential. And you’re tanking again?!
I hate things like this. I truly do. I hate to see talent be forced to lose for a year. It’s immoral and painful to watch. But Sam Hinkie doesn’t care about that. Not like he has to watch Nerlens Noel or KJ McDaniels suffer because their GM sucks at his job so has to tank. Shameful.
