Fanboys everywhere, including myself, are screaming, hyperventilating, nauseous or all of the above, at the news that Marvel and Sony Pictures have dropped upon the word tonight. Just minutes ago, it was announced that that two franchises have reached a new collaborative deal in regards to comic-book legend, Spider-Man. This deal will see Spider-Man now being able to appear in Marvel films and will also see Marvel collaborating with Sony Pictures within the likes of The Amazing Spider-Man future film(s). It was also announced that next Spider-Man film will hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
While being so far away, I have high hopes that it’ll be worth the wait. This news comes just in time as it was highly speculated that the superhero would feature in Avengers: Infinity War. Now, we can only wish for Fox to reach some agreement over the use of the X-Men, but that’s a conversation for another day. Fanboys and fangirls, rejoice!
