The MLB Trade Deadline has passed, which means teams are either preparing for the postseason or re-tooling for next year. One of the teams that somewhat surprisingly opted to retool for next year is the New York Yankees despite still being in contention for first place in the AL East.
For the first time in recent memory, the Yankees were sellers at the trade deadline. By unloading some of their premium relievers, New York restocked its depleted farm system and currently has seven of Baseball America’s Top 100 prospects. They also traded away star outfielder Carlos Beltran. On the other end of spectrum, the Indians, Cubs and Rangers made moves shoring up their World Series push, while Seattle will spend this weekend honoring the great Ken Griffey Jr. The top weekend ticket prices, in terms of get-in prices, are presented below.
