If Lupe Fiasco is your favorite artist, or one of many, then today is your lucky day as the rapper has dropped off “brand new” music for your consumption. In what may sound familiar in terms of production, Lupe has put his own creative spin over SZA’s fan-favorite cut, ‘Babylon,’ which is taken from her Z EP that was released almost 2 years ago in April of 2014. If you’re wondering just why Lupe waited until now to remix the track, ‘Bone’ just might have been sitting in his collection for some time now as the creative previously had the production in his possession. No matter the case of who had it first, the remix serves as a pleasant surprise as it conveys a whole different vibe than SZA’s original contribution.
Speaking to particular women of the world, Lupe finds himself having some harsh and critical words that’ll surely stir some conversation. Tackling the notion of one feeling herself too much, which potential leads to self destruction, once again Lupe proves his ability to paint vivid pictures with his words almost effortlessly. Serving as a welcomed treat, we definitely want more from where this came from. Until then, take a listen to Lupe’s ‘Bone’ (Babylon Remix), below.
