An unlikely duo to say the least but with both Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges and Ryan Seacrest both respectfully reigning from the City of Atlanta it all makes sense. Ludacris and Ryan Seacrest with his Ryan Seacrest Productions will be executive producing a new CBS TV Drama, ‘The Down Beat’. ‘The Down Beat’ is being written by Paul Downs Caliazzo who is also penning another drama for CBS focused around a cop. Paul is joining Luda and Ryan as EP’s and the show will be in association with CBS Television of course as well.
‘The Down Beat’ will focus its attention around a businessman who is looking to help teens from the streets of Atlanta who are involved in two gangs and are getting the chance to turn their lives around with the local high school marching band. With no premiere date in site or any in-depth description of the show in sight I won’t pass judgment on the show. Things are still in the beginning stages so a cast isn’t even known yet. While more is sure to develop on this TV Drama as time goes on, what do you guys think of Luda stepping behind the scenes as opposed of being in front of the camera like he has for role like Fast & Furious, Hustle & Flow and Crash?
