Now, three albums into a career that has afforded Logic some opportunities and experiences he might have never had, the Maryland rapper is making bringing forth some news with an announcement. A relatively quiet persona in a lot of areas, except for the music, Logic’s latest body of work, Everybody, saw it’s release earlier in the year. Tackling other duties since then, one of Logic’s latest ventures comes with the announcement of his brand new record label, Elysium.
Stating in the video’s opening moments, “Elysium was created mainly because I don’t trust anybody else with the precious cargo that is my family,” it’s evident that Logic’s Elysium is suppose to be a safe haven and space for artists to create music the way they want and see how.
With the imprint being under Def Jam & Visionary, the newly created label is consisted of 3 artists, Jessica Andrea, who is Logic’s wife, Damian Lemar Hudson, & John Lindahl, for now. A fitting stride for Logic as he has already announced that his fourth studio album, Ultra 85, would be his last, setting his eyes to help other artists with their careers seems like the perfect transition if those plans hold true.
As with everything else, we’re sure fans cannot wait to see and hear just what Elysium produces.
