After an incredible NBA season for LeBron James and capping it off with an Olympic Gold Medal, NIKE commemorates King James in a great way with the LBJ X+ “United We Rise” also dubbed the “Gold Medal”. There has been a whole lot of buzz on the internet and news about the LeBron X+ MSRP which had been rumored to be $315 plus tax. Well the actual price is $290 plus tax. Now I know that doesn’t necessarily make things any better but like the old saying goes “you get what you pay for”. If you want high quality material and technology in a shoe then you have to pay for it. Now I wouldn’t say I am condoning the price because it is steep. The shoe is built in with Nike+ “pressure sensors” which keep track of different movements people wearing them will make. Some noticeable materials also on the shoe are hyperfuse, flywire and a “360 air max unit”. The colorway of the “United We Stand” LBJ X+ is white/red/blue, the shoes noticeable features are a gold diamond like NIKE swoosh which is backwards (not the conventional way), a NIKE swoosh on the toe box, a gold signature LeBron “Lion” lace lock, red x blue speckled laces and on the upper forefoot area by the ankle is the “USA” flag. The shoe comes packaged in a white box with USA “United We Rise” in gold lettering, LeBron X+ x James written in gold as well and an image of LeBron James face can be seen inside of the box. These are confirmed for a September 29th release, look for a limited quantity so check with your nearest NIKE retailer to see if they will get their hands on these. What’s your thoughts on the shoe, and who plans on getting a pair?
