Original story follows (Dec. 21, 2017): It has been announced that fashion designer Ronnie Fieg, founder of Kith, an NYC-based retail store, is collaborating with Nike to produce a mini-documentary based on Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James. The documentary, which will be Fieg’s first exclusively produced film, will be titled ‘Long Live the King’ and will premiere on Uninterrupted at 9 AM ET on Friday. It will dive into LeBron’s career on and off the court, and also discuss some of his struggles throughout his youth.
Fieg took to social media and opened up about producing the doc.
After a year in the making, I’m proud to present the first film I executively produced. “Long Live the King” is a mini-documentary by Kith in collaboration with Nike and produced by Matte Films that examines the life of LeBron James. My goal for this project with Nike has always been to highlight both sides of LeBron – the person and the player. This concept evolved into a documentary, which features pivotal figures throughout LeBron’s life, as well as the King himself. This film serves as the foundation for our partnership, I hope you enjoy it. Releasing publicly this Friday at 9AM EST on Uninterrupted. ?

After 15 years in the NBA, the superstar forward is jumping right back into filmography with his own documentary less than a month after James co-produced his own documentary series alongside teammate Dwyane Wade and Chance the Rapper, ‘Magnify’.
Along with the film being released Friday, it is expected that Kith and Nike’s partnered shoe, the LeBron 15, will come out the same day just a couple short days before Christmas.
