The Kobe farewell tour continued on last night (January 7th) as the Los Angeles Lakers faced up against the Sacramento Kings. While the Lakers were on the brink of a complete blowout loss throughout most of the game, Kobe showed signs of the ‘Black Mamba’ that many have grown to love over his illustrious 20 year career. He went for a light 28 points and was even highlighted for an alley-oop he caught. Unfortunately the Lakers loss in a wild ending to the game as the young core of L.A. rallied the team back led by Russell and Clarkson.
But that’s not completely why we are here is it guys? We are here to focus on the footwear Bean laced up for his final game in Sacramento.
With his Nike Kobe 11 ‘Achilles Heel’ releasing tomorrow as the lead colorway, the PE’s or potential new colorways will start to appear in an abundance and who better than Kobe to spark the conversation for this. During the game he was played in a ‘Lakers’ Nike Kobe 11 which looks amazing. The yellow flyknit upper transitioned into purple with a purple outsole. The sneaker community last night were in awe over this colorway and I mean how could you not like them. Having colorways like the ‘BHM‘ and ‘Black/White‘ on deck to release soon and even the ‘Lakers Purple‘ this last run for Kobe and Nike with the KB11 looks very promising.
