It hasn’t even been a full year since the release of Kendrick Lamar’s highly critiqued and appreciated album, To Pimp A Butterfly, and the rapper has had an amazing few months after. Officially becoming the highest rated Hip-Hop album among critics, To Pimp A Butterfly‘s movement didn’t stop there as the rapper took the album on the road all across the United States. In a different move for an artist of his status, Kendrick scaled back tremendously and took to intimate venues in a limited amount of cities to maximize the album’s experience for us lucky fans who had the privilege to attend. Now it looks as if the ‘Alright’ rapper is looking to take things back up a few notches as it has been announced that Kendrick Lamar and Florence + The Machine are set to headline Hyde Park’s upcoming festival in July 2016. A lengthy amount of time away, who knows just what Kendrick may have up his sleeve as the rapper has went on record saying that the “Kunta’s Groove Sessions Tour” could potentially be the last time he performs that album. Dropping new music with J. Cole just this past weekend, could new material from Kendrick Lamar be on the horizon. For now, only time will tell. You can check out more information regarding the festival and how you can make your way there, here.
