It’s Grammy season! At this point, we’re merely a few short weeks away from the upcoming Grammy award show. Focused on celebrating and awarding the musical contributions of many artists of the past year, the Grammys is among the most anticipated events for the world of music. Over the years, the Grammys has played home to some of the most talked about performances that have been seen across television screens. Surely, that is on the agenda for some of this year’s recently announced performers. Before now, there was a mystery as to who would be gracing the stage during February’s show, but now we have some acts from the newly released lineup. As reported by AP, taking to the stage this year, the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Adele, The Weeknd, and Little Big Town are among the first to be announced to rock the stage with their respective hits that many have grown to love over the past several months,
“This lineup of talented artists is just the beginning of what will, once again, prove to be music’s biggest night. We look forward to celebrating what’s been a wonderful year in music, honoring the best of the best and featuring never-before-seen performances,” Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow said in a statement.
Already shaping up to be a night to remember, there’s no doubting that these acts will leave it all on the stage. Whether it’s from the simplistic nature of Adele, to the creative and striking force like Kendrick, Grammy performances are often more anticipated by fans than the actual award show itself. Hosted by LL Cool J, the Grammys will air live on February 15th at 8/7c.
Update: The fun doesn’t stop there as more performers have been announced. Taking to their official Twitter @TheGrammys, Justin Bieber & Pitbull have been added to the performers lineup.
Update #2: Rihanna has took to Twitter to announce that she will be gracing the stage at this month’s Grammy Awards!
