Hard work and even better marketing strategy works, or at least that’s the case if your name is Justin Bieber. Officially one week ago, the Canadian singer released his brand new album, Purpose, along with an onslaught of others like Ty Dolla $ign, Logic, Jeezy, One Direction, Alessia Cara, and a slew of others. While the No. 1 spot would be an honor for any of the artists, it became a tight race between the Pop sensations. Now, it’s official that Justin Bieber has came out on top as the singer lands the largest debut of 2015 in sales and SPS (Sales Plus Streaming) with 619,949 copies shifted. Over in the realm of Hip-Hop, Logic and Jeezy find themselves shifting 128,122 and 91,576 copies, overall. Ty Dolla $ign’s debut, Free TC, didn’t meet the same Top 5 fate as the singer/rapper moved 22,261 units. With the holiday season officially kicking off as of next week, expect everyone mentioned to see significant sales boosts. As Justin holds on to his new record, Hurricane Adele is reportedly aiming for the largest opening week in history with 25. Not one to get ahead of ourselves, congratulations are definitely in order for the successful launches of the past week.
