If you had any doubt about the following that Justin Bieber has built for himself over the course of his career, these past few weeks should be the source of a change of heart towards that. A little over a week since the release of his latest album, Purpose, and we’ve seen Justin Bieber across almost every possible avenue to promote the project. Everything from radio interviews to television performances, Justin and his team had the perfect marketing plan for the singer’s new LP. Now, as Justin has officially went on to land the No. 1 album in the country with the largest debut of 2015, even better news rolls in as Justin has now set a new record for the most simultaneous Billboard Hot 100 entries in one week, according to Billboard.
Bieber boasts 17 songs on the Dec. 5 Hot 100, marking the most titles that any artist has placed on the chart in a single week. He bests the 14 each that the Beatles managed on April 11, 1964 and that Drake earned on the March 7 and Oct. 17 tallies this year.
Previously celebrating the honor thanks to Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, if that wasn’t enough, 3 out of the 17 tracks can be found in the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100. This goes to show a true testament to the loyalty and dedication of Justin Bieber’s fans. As this is only the beginning of his Purpose era, there’s no doubt that there will be more records broken from the singer in the future.
