Per John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7, projected top-5 Draft pick Josh Jackson out of the University of Kansas, has a guarantee from an NBA team already – probably the Los Angeled Lakers at no. 2, possibly the Philadelphia 76ers at no. 3, probably not the Phoenix Suns at no. 4. All signs point to the Boston Celtics selecting Markelle Fultz first overall in the draft, and it looks like Jackson won’t attempt to sway Boston with a great workout:

Canceling a workout with the team holding the no. 1 overall draft pick is an unorthodox move. In all likelihood, this means that Jackson is content with joining whichever team intends on drafting him. The Celtics are probably fine with this; Jackson is a terrific prospect, but Fultz is better. Furthermore, the Celtics don’t exactly need Jackson. They already have a young, explosive small forward with a working jump shot – Jaylen Brown, who they selected third overall in last year’s draft.
Meanwhile, the Lakers have reportedly scheduled a meeting with Fultz later this week.
