Last year, Jay Z announced that he would be entering the streaming industry. Along came Tidal and with that announcement came a surprising one, Jay would be removing his 1996 debut album and first classic, Reasonable Doubt, from Spotify and later on Apple Music. Now Jay add’s his beloved Blueprint to that list of only available on Tidal with the rest of The Blueprint series.
Pitchfork reached out to a Spotify rep and the rep said these three albums haven’t been available for sometime.
“Jay Z’s Blueprint albums have not been available on any streaming service except Tidal for a few months now. We hope he brings them back soon so that his millions of fans on Spotify can enjoy them again.”
There are a few songs from these four albums that can still be streamed on Apple Music, Spotify and Google Play through the various “Greatest Hits Collections” albums. If you want these albums in full, you can sign up for Tidal or pop the CD in your car if you have them.
