Over 20 years into his career that has seen many come and go from the genre of Hip Hop and the overall music industry, Jay Z is still seating records and adding amazing accomplishments to his name.
With several platinum albums to under his belt and classic records that have gone on to stand the test of time, it came as no surprise when Jay Z was announced to be in consideration for the Songwriters Hall of Fame, last year. Fast-forward to today, the legendary artists that will be inducted have been announced.

Alongside the likes of Babyface, Berry Gordy, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and others, Jay Z becomes the first rapper to ever be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame! An amazing moment that is to be commended for himself and for Hip Hop as a whole, Jay Z’s induction will take place at a ceremony in New York on June 15th.
