At this point, we’re well over a year since J. Cole went on to release his third studio album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive. Being his highest selling album to date, it was evident early on that many people found themselves connecting and relating to the message that the rapper was conveying throughout the LP. Because of this, it comes as no surprise that the rapper is still booking stages across the world in support of the project and to connect with his ever-growing fan-base. Over the weekend, to the pleasure of many, J. Cole took the stage at Shaun White’s Air + Style Festival. Bringing many styles and genres of music to one place, Mr. Cole had the honor of night 1 as he served as headliner. Running through his list of hits and records from his most recent album, a highlight from the night came in from of J. Cole showing the Notorious B.I.G some love as he performed the NYC rapper’s classic hit, ‘Hypnotize.’ Kicking things off and working the crowd up with his own hit, ‘Who Dat,’ things took a turn as J. Cole effortlessly spit some of Biggie’s classic bars from the record. As if we couldn’t love J. Cole any more, watch the rapper do his thing, below.
