I was able to talk to Ethan Telfair after his season with the Redlands Cougars in El Reno, Oklahoma. Ethan has been through the fire literally and is ready to show people that he is ready for the spotlight. Playing for Redlands Ethan was able to average 23.7 points, 4.3 assists, 6.3 rebounds per game and was the clear-cut leader on the team. The progression that he made during the season is what propelled him to where he is now as a person and a player. God placed Ethan in a D-1 school to showcase his God-given talent to the world with the Idaho State Bengals. Coach Bill Evans at Idaho State loves Telfair’s game and wants to challenge him to take it to the next level.
The only thing stopping Ethan from being successful is Ethan. I’ve never seen a point guard in person with the vision and will to win as Telfair does. He makes the people around him better and he also is a true point guard something that lacks in college basketball today. So many point guards want to be combo guards or try to do too much the video below will show you that Ethan stays in his lane and dominates it too. With that being said with this interview you see growth in a young man ready to better himself and his teammates around him. People tried to associate negative things with the Telfair name in the media outlets. Ethan Telfair is showing that you can’t judge me, only God can and he’s letting his actions on the court speak louder than his words.
