For better or for worse, the last few months have belonged to Draymond Green as far as news goes. First, he was the secondary star of the best regular season team of all time. Then he saw himself mired in controversy for kicking people in the lower regions.
Green was suspended for one game during the Finals leading to the Warriors’ collapse. Draymond was also involved in an off-court assault case and sent some bad pictures on his snapchat.
All caught up? Good.
This time, Green is in the public eye for a much less controversial reason. The Warriors’ power forward appeared on Conan on Tuesday.
The highlight of the appearance was Green talking about comedian Kevin Hart and clowning his basketball skill. Since Hart’s rise, the actor and comedian has been very involved with the NBA. He has appeared in the annual Celebrity Game at All-Star Weekend several years in a row and won the MVP award multiple times.
Hart has never been shy to trumpet his basketball skill despite being approximately five feet tall (Note: this is not a confirmed measurement). But according to Green: “he sucks.”
The whole interview is worth the watch but beside the fact that Hart beat Draymond Green at a three point contest at All-Star Weekend (officially a tie but we know the truth), I’m pretty sure Hart never blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals.
