When it comes to Hip-Hop, Drake is definitely winning at the moment, Merely a few days ago, the rapper/singer went fourth to release his fourth studio album, Views, after building much anticipation of the course of the past several months. Projected to sell one million copies in its first week, Drake is on cloud 9 right now as he appears to be almost unstoppable. Now, as he celebrates the release of his new album, the accolades and accomplishments keep rolling in thanks to a new record set in the U.K. by his No. 1 single in the country, ‘One Dance.’
According to Billboard, ‘One Dance’ has toppled a streaming record set by Adele’s chart-topping single, ‘Hello,’ as the Caribbean-flavored single has set a new streaming standard set by the British singer. In its third week on the U.K. charts, ‘One Dance’ accumulated 7.86 million streams, which now holds the lead over ‘Hello,’ which garnered 7.32 million streams in one week. Released before his ‘Views’ album was given to the world, it will come as no surprise if the album sits at the top of the U.K. charts once the first week numbers roll in. Currently sitting in the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100, ‘One Dance’ will surely collect the No. 1 spot within the next few weeks in the U.S. It’s fair to say that Drake is isn’t cooling down any time soon.
