The Detroit Pistons have some exciting young talent on their roster. However, they aren’t at the level to contend for a title yet, obviously. The Pistons have plenty of holes to fill, and they have two in mind for this offseason. From Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press:
A shooting big man will be targeted. Backup point guard is a major need.
With roughly $17 million in salary cap space should be able to address the needs, but with a rising cap, most teams will have money to spend.
Rod Beard of the Detroit News confirmed that the team will target a backup point guard:
#Pistons SVG on backup PG" It is something we would like to add. It’s a PG-driven league and pick-and-roll-driven league … it's a priority

For the role of shooting big man, Marcus Morris can somewhat fill that role. At 6’9”, he can play either forward spot, and shot a passable 36.2% from beyond the arc this season. However, they could stand to target a real stretch big. They had one in Ersan Ilyasova, but traded him to the Magic in the Tobias Harris trade.
As far as backup point guards go, Detroit desperately needs one. Steve Blake is too old, and Spencer Dinwiddie is too young and inexperienced.
