The NBA Trade Deadline is drawing closer and the rumours are starting to gain speed.
I said a week or two ago that I hate the build up to the trade deadline because most of the rumours that are written about never actually pan out which means time was wasted writing about something that didn’t even solidify. However, stories like the Rockets not trading Dwight Howard I like because a team then puts themselves in it. Saying they won’t do something and then boom, reports about Dwight going to Boston comes up. Brilliant.
Blake Griffin has been unfortunate recently. It must hurt when you think you’re essential to the team and then you discover that the team is doing fine without you. Because of this realisation, the Clippers have pretty much put Griffin on the trading block.
They haven’t out and out said that he’s on the block but Mitch Lawrence has reported that the Clips have talked to the Denver Nuggets about the possible trade.
The Clippers have talked to the Nuggets about trading Blake Griffin to Denver, per NBA sources.

With this news people are starting to create possible deals in order for this to happen. All of them including either Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried or both. I think if this becomes concrete those two will be in the package for sure. I personally don’t mind this, but then again whatever the Clippers do they’ll crash out of the Playoffs so do what you like Doc.
Update as of 3:50pm ET – 5/2/2016
The OC Register’s Dan Woike has shed some light on the earlier report that the Nuggets were in talks for Blake Griffin. Previous reports gave us the indication that there was a foundation but Woike says there was the bare minimum.
Denver calls the Clippers, asks about Blake Griffin and the Clippers say “No” – does that count as a trade discussion?

Sources: Denver reached out and asked about Blake Griffin but Clippers weren’t interested. Not much discussion

Reality: star player gets in trouble, teams call about star player. No real indication the Clippers want to move Blake Griffin at this point

And just to go full circle. The Philadelphia 76ers have apparently inquired about Griffin according to Sam Amico.
Both Sixers and Nuggets have had discussions with Clippers about Blake Griffin, per league sources. @sn_nba earlier reported Nuggets talks.

Why? i have no idea. Is “Because Sixers” an applicable answer?
