Nothing can stop ‘Ride Along’s joyride.
The comedy film starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube took the top spot at the box office for the second time this week earning another $21.1 million. This brings its domestic total to $75.4 million and a surprise smash.
‘Lone Survivor’ narrowly edged out the ‘The Nut Job’ which both took in $12.6 million and $12.3 million respectively.
To no surprise, ‘Frozen’ is still hanging around the top five and earned another $9 million at the box office. This brings its total to $348 million after ten weeks at the box office.
Rounding out the top five is ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ which pulled in $8.8 million.
‘I, Frankenstein’ is the only new release this week and didn’t even crack the top five. The film was DOA and debuted at sixth place with a dismal $8.3 million. The film cost $65 million to make with little chance to make up ground.
Will ‘Ride Along’ be able to hold off the two newcomers this week, ‘Labor Day’ and ‘That Awkward Moment’? Or will a naked Zac Efron or a deranged Josh Brolin take the top spot?
