‘Despicable Me 3’ dominated the weekend box office by bringing in an estimated $75,410,275. The film marked the third biggest debut in the franchise’s history. Finishing just behind ‘Despicable Me 2’s opening weekend numbers from back in 2013. ‘Baby Driver‘ came in second over the weekend with a more than respectable $21,000,000. ‘Baby Driver’ was made for an extremely modest $34 million and has already grossed over $36 million worldwide. ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ finished third and dropped 62% from week one to week two, bringing in an estimated $17,000,000. ‘Wonder Woman‘ took the fourth spot with an estimated $16,100,000 in its 5th week of release. These numbers are fairly unprecedented giving the film the 14th biggest 5th-weekend box office numbers of all time. ‘Cars 3‘ rounded out the top 5 with an estimated $9,524,000 at the weekend box office.
