All It Takes Is One Bad Day…..
Earlier this month, we’ve received our first look at “Batman: The Killing Joke” with a teaser trailer. Now the first full trailer has arrived courtesy of Yahoo. Within this trailer we see just how true to the Alan Moore comic Bruce Timm and the Warner Bros. team chose to go with after Sam Register gave the “ok” to deliver the purest animated film possible.
“The Killing Joke is revered by the fans, particularly for its blunt, often-shocking adult themes and situations. We felt it was our responsibility to present our core audience — the comics-loving community — with an animated film that authentically represented the tale they know all too well.”
If you aren’t too familiar with The Killing Joke comic, it’s an coming of age story for The Joker, The Clown Prince of Crime, the greatest villain ever created. Joker pushed Batman to the edge throughout the comic and tortures Barbara Gordon a.k.a Batgirl, leaving her paralyzed for life, essentially creating her role as The Oracle.
Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will be returning and lending their iconic voices to Batman and Joker. Batman: The Killing Joke is slated to release on Blu-Ray and DVD this summer. There are currently no plans of a PG-13 edit. Check out the trailer below.
