Arguably, no one is having a better year than J. Cole himself. With the release of his 3rd studio album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, the ‘Love Yourz’ rapper’s polarizing honesty within his new record, fused with always present lyrical content, helped launch J. Cole to the top and finally earned him the respect and administration he deserves. Being the man of the hour, we can all agree that J. Cole deserves some down time for what he’s achieved in the past months. In a recent trip to Jamaica, the hit-maker did just that. In conjunction with a short film presented by Bally, the rapper took a trip to Jamaica’s renowned “Blue Mountains”, along with Bob Marley’s Tuff Going Studio, to reflect and regain some peace through soul searching and music. Furthermore, it further proves the notion that J. Cole remains one of the most humbling Hip-Hop acts we’ve seen in a long time. Check out the ‘Off The Grid’ short-film, below.
