Frank Ocean, Americas favorite crooner made his appearance known in 2010 when he joined California hip-hop crew Odd Future. His very first project with the collective was entitled Nostalgia Ultra it was released to critical acclaim following the singles ‘Novacane’ and ‘Swim Good’. His popularity only increased from there.
The following year Frank Ocean was featured on one of the most anticipated albums of 2011, Kanye West and JAY Z’s Watch The Throne, Franky delivered two haunting choruses in both ‘No Church In The Wild’ and ‘Made It America’.
In 2012 Ocean released his critically acclaimed debut album Channel Orange with features from Andre 3000 and Earl Sweatshirt, the album was praised for its non traditional approach and its embracing of themes that weren’t present in R&B at the time.
After a lengthy break an releasing songs at his leisure Frank Ocean’s second album Boys Don’t Cry was slated for a July 2015 release however that did not come to fruition and many fans are still on the edge of their seats awaiting the release of it.
