The Bynum experiment is slowly progressing. So slowly in fact, he’s been suspended.
According to ProBasketballTalk and many other sources the Cavs have suspended Bynum for conduct detrimental to the team.
Here’s an extract from the team website
Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum has been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team, Cavaliers General Manager Chris Grant announced today. “Bynum did not travel with the team to Boston last night for the team’s game this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. vs. the Celtics and has been excused from all team activities indefinitely.” His status will be updated as appropriate.
Bynum this season cannot get a rhythm going. 20 points one game, 0-11 for another. So in terms of the teams wellbeing I think they’ll live.
And breaking news. As I write this the Cavs have unofficially put Andrew Bynum on the trading bloc. A team statement says
He never liked playing basketball that much in the first place
Quick question to the Cavs… Who the hell wants a player that is on and off and is a complete nightmare when it comes to his contract? Just a thought…
