In the classic case of “Dear fans, I want to release new music, but the label won’t let me”, Ab-Soul has tweeted his frustrations with TDE. TDE has a strict rollout for albums, which may not suit all the artist on the label — i.e Jay Rock and Ab Soul — as they all do not have the core fan base, star power or machine behind them like Kendrick and Schoolboy. It’s coming up on two years since we’ve received any solo music from Ab-Soul and it was only a matter of time before he released music or frustrations.

Although Soul showed frustrations, he seems to be willing to play the bench for a bit longer as he cites TDE as a family.
Nonetheless, it's important to move as a unit. It's bigger than me. It's family.

Gotta respect that.

This isn’t the first time Soul has voiced his frustrations with the label. Prior to the release of his album, “These Days…”, the same frustrations occurred and the album rollout started.

With Top Dawg quickly stepping into the equation and the situation quickly dying down, Soul is gearing up to be subbed in. Stay tuned for new music from the black lip pastor.
